1. Information We Collect

Clipboard Content: ClipboardAI monitors your device's clipboard to provide its core functionality. All clipboard content (text, links, phone numbers, emails, addresses, codes, and images) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync.

Subscription Data: If you subscribe to ClipboardAI Pro, your purchase is processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription management partner. RevenueCat receives:

• An anonymous app user ID (not linked to your personal identity)
• Purchase and subscription status information
• Device type and OS version (for compatibility)

No Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your clipboard data is used solely to provide the app's core features:

• Auto-capture and storage of copied content for your clipboard history
• Smart categorization (detecting links, phone numbers, emails, addresses, codes, and images)
• AI-powered features such as math solving, text summarization (TL;DR), checklist parsing, and language detection — all processed entirely on-device
• Collections and organization to help you manage your clips
• Keyboard extension to provide quick access to recent clips

3. On-Device Processing

All intelligent features in ClipboardAI run locally on your device:

• Math Solver: Arithmetic, percentages, unit conversions, and currency calculations are computed on-device
• TL;DR Summaries: Text summarization is performed locally without any API calls
• Checklist Parser: List detection and interactive checklist creation happens on-device
• Language Detection: Language identification uses Apple's built-in frameworks
• Sensitive Content Detection: Pattern matching for passwords, tokens, and SSNs runs locally

No external APIs are used for any AI or processing features.

4. iCloud Sync

iCloud sync is an optional feature that you can enable or disable at any time in Settings. When enabled:

• Your text clips (up to 50) are synced via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore)
• Synced data is encrypted by Apple and transmitted through Apple's iCloud infrastructure
• We have no access to your iCloud data — it is managed entirely by Apple
• Images over 500KB are not synced to maintain performance

When iCloud sync is disabled, all data remains exclusively on your local device.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal data or clipboard content to any third parties.

The only third-party service integrated into ClipboardAI is:

• RevenueCat — for subscription management. RevenueCat receives only anonymous purchase data necessary to manage your subscription. You can review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for more details.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You are in full control of your data:

• Delete individual clips at any time by swiping to delete
• Clear all history through Settings > Data Management
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
• iCloud synced data can be managed through your device's iCloud settings

7. Keyboard Extension

The ClipboardAI keyboard extension accesses your recent clips through a secure App Group container shared between the main app and the keyboard. The keyboard extension:

• Does not have network access (Full Access is not required)
• Only displays clips that are already stored in the main app
• Does not record or transmit any keystrokes

8. Analytics and Tracking

ClipboardAI does not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage statistics, crash reports via third-party services, or behavioral data. Your usage of the app is completely private.

9. Children's Privacy

ClipboardAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete such information.

10. Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• All data is stored using Apple's secure SwiftData framework with device-level encryption
• Sensitive content (passwords, tokens, SSNs) is automatically flagged for additional protection
• iCloud data is encrypted by Apple both in transit and at rest
• The app uses Apple's Keychain for any credential storage

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
